What is the value of x in the given figure?

$$19^\circ$$


SOLUTION
From the figure
$$90^{\circ}+y^{\circ}+71^{\circ}=180^{\circ}$$  (Adjacent angles on  straight line)
$$\Rightarrow y={ 180 }^{ \circ  }-{ 161 }^{ \circ  }\\ \Rightarrow y={ 19 }^{ \circ  }$$
Now $$\angle x=\angle y$$   (Vertically opposite angles)
$$\Rightarrow x=19^{\circ}$$
