Twp angles form a linear pair. If one of these is one-fourth of the other, find the positive difference between the  two angles.( in degrees )

SOLUTION
linear pair $$ = 180^0 $$ 

let 'A' be one angle 'B' is second angle $$\dfrac{1}{4} A $$

$$ \dfrac{1}{4} A + A = 180^o $$

$$ \dfrac{5A}{4} = 180^o $$ 

$$ A = 144^o $$ 

$$ B = 36^o $$
$$ A-B = 108^o$$
