Simplify and round to the appropriate number of significant digits
$$(a)$$ $$16.235 \times 0.217 \times 5$$
$$(b)$$ $$0.00435 \times 4.6$$

SOLUTION
Ans a-
$$16.235 \times 0.217 \times 5 = 17.614975$$
Since the least no.of significant digit is one, so the final answer should be rounded off upto one significant digit.
Therefore, Ans is $$ 20$$

Ans b-
$$0.00435 \times 4.6 = 0.02001$$
Since the least no.of significant digit is two, so the final answer should be rounded off upto two significant digit.
Therefore, Ans is $$ 0.02$$
