SOLUTION
In an right angled triangle,
$${ \theta  }_{ 1 }+{ \theta  }_{ 2 }=90°$$
$$40°+{ \theta  }_{ 2 }=90°$$
$${ \theta  }_{ 2 }=50°$$
Thus, the other acute angle is $$50°$$
