Just as President is the Head of the Nation, Governor is the Head of the State. Regarding which of the following matters there is a difference between the Governor and the President?

ANSWER

Mode of appointment and removal

SOLUTION
The President of India is elected collectively by the members of the two houses of the Parliament and the Legislative Assemblies of all the states and Union Territories. However, the governors of the states are appointed by the President of India. They are not elected.
The President of India can only be removed by the process of impeachment by the Parliament through a detailed procedure. He/she can be impeached for any infringement of Constitutional provisions. However, the governors of the states can be dismissed by the President of India. A Governor cannot be impeached and removed.
