SOLUTION
Given,

$\angle AOB = 70^o$

$\angle BOC = 2x^o$

We know that sum of all angles in a straight line is $180^o$

$\angle AOB + \angle BOC = 180^o$

$70^o+2x= 180^o$

$2x= 110^o$

$x= 55^o$
