# In figure, $AB || CD$.Find the values of $x, y, z$ and $t$.

##### SOLUTION
$x+125^o = 180^o ( linear \ pair)$
$x= 180^o-125^o$
$x=55^o$
$x=z=55^o$ (angles on opposite sides of parallelogram )
$z+t = 180^o$ ( angles on same sides of parallelogram)
$55 ^o + t= 180^o$
$t = 180^o - 55^o = 125^o$
$t=y=125^o$ ( angles on opposite sides of parallelogram )

Q5 Subjective Medium
Read the following two statements which are taken as axioms:
(i) If two lines intersect each other, then the vertically opposite angles are not equal.
(ii) If a ray stands on a line, then the sum of two adjacent angles so formed is equal to $180^0$.
