If an angle is half of its complement, find the measure of angles.

SOLUTION
Sum of complementary angles = $90^{0}$
Let on angle = $x^{0}$
Then second angle = $\frac{x}{2}$
$x+\frac{x}{2}=90^{0}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{3x}{2}=90^{0}$
$\Rightarrow 3x=90^{0}*2=180^{0}$
$\Rightarrow x=60^{0}$
One angle = $60^{0}$
and the other angle = $\frac{60}{2}=30^{0}$
Angles are $30^{0},60^{0}$
