Ashok starts from point $$P$$ and walks $$5 kms$$ to the East. Bharat starts from the same point and walks $$5 kms$$ to the West. Now, Ashok takes a left turn and Bharat takes a right turn, and both walks $$5 kms$$ and stop. How far are they from each other at the point where they finally stop?

ANSWER

$$10 kms$$

SOLUTION

$$\Rightarrow$$  Ashok starts from point $$P$$ and walks $$5\,kms$$ to the East.
$$\Rightarrow$$  Bharat starts from the same point and walks 5kms to the West. Now, Ashok takes a left turn and Bharat takes a right turn, and both walks 5kms and stop.
$$\Rightarrow$$  Required distance $$=5\,kms+5\,kms=10\,kms$$
