Mathematics

An angle is equal to $$8$$ times its complement. Determine its measure.

SOLUTION
Let $$\alpha $$ & $$ \beta $$ be the angles

$$ \alpha =8\beta $$ ;$$  \alpha +\beta=90^{\circ}$$

$$9\beta =90^{\circ}$$

$$\therefore $$  $$\beta =10^{\circ}$$
                 $$\alpha =80^{\circ}$$
