Overview

Intelligence Bureau is and intelligence agency that was recast as Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947 under the Mnnistry of Home Affairs. The headquaters of IB are in new delhi,India. Dineshwar Sharma is the current director of IB, holding the position since January 01, 2015.The IB is used to garner intelligence from within India and also execute counter- intelligence and counter-terrorism tasks. The Bureau comprises employees from law enforcement agencies, mostly from the Indian Police Service (IPS) or the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and the military.

Eligibility

The candidate must have a Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidate must also have knowledge of computer.

Age Maximum age: 27 years.

Howvere, upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates.


How To Apply

1. Applications should be submitted only through online registration by logging on to the website www.mha.nic.in

2. Applications will not be accepted through any other mode. Wrong information in any column may lead to the application getting rejected altogether.

3. The format of online application form is divided into two parts viz. Part 1 relates to the personal, academic and other particulars of the candidate and Part II relates to the payment modes. The candidate will have to fill up the Part I of online application and then has to select option for payment of fees, if any, in Part II of the application form.Cadidates are required to upload their photographs and signature at the time of registration itself.

4. Applicants are also advised to keep checking their email from time to  time and particularly 2-3 days before the date of written examination for any updates.


Exam Pattern

The writtent examination for the post of ACIO-II/Exe contains two papers namely :

Paper I (Objective type)
Paper II(Descriptive type on English Language Only)

The total duration for both papers is 1 hour and 40 minutes. Paper I will focus on General Awarness/General Knowledhe, Comprehension and Mathematical ability while paper II will be designed to check the knowledge of  English writing skills and analytical ability.

Syllabus

Paper - I

English Comprehension: Question will be first based on English comprehension in which you have to answer questions referring the paragraph. Antonyms, synonyms, word meaning, closest related meaning, grammar, one word substitution, Jumble Sentences ,idioms & phrases, Passage etc.

Reasoning:- Questions will be asked from Relations, Graphs & symbols, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, pattern completion, relationship concepts, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, verbal & nonverbal reasoning, visual memory, discrimination, observation, encode & decode, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure.

General Knowledge: Question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy etc. Focus on the current events going on PM new schemes, Sports Awards, Nobel Prize. We advise to remember events based on dates in world history some organizational full forms.

Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF, LCM, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Practice every day and first do questions which you are confident that you can solve every question of this kind.

Paper II

This paper 2 will be of descriptive type in which candidates have to write according to the question given.

Descriptive Exam: Questions will be from English: Story writing or Essay writing 500 to 800 words, Précis writing, Comprehension and Business/Office Correspondence. Comprehension will be given based on that questions will be asked in end.
