RK Chaturvedi assumes charge as CBSE chairman

Chennai: Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi, IAS, on Tuesday assumed charge as the chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Chaturvedi emphasised on the need for improving quality of education in schools across the country with ample focus on teacher quality while sharing the vision and role of CBSE in school education.

An official statement from the board said one of the foremost priorities of the new chairman is to make the CBSE a “modern and multidimensional front ranking organisation.”
